SKYE THE PICTURE
The stunning setting of the Isle Of Skye is the ideal location
to take a short break photographic course.
You can spend 1/2 day or a full day with Phil Gorton who is a
renowned Skye photographer. Spend time to your develop your photographic skills or learn new skills to develop the creative
side of photgraphy.
If the weather & conditions are to bad to go out on location
then time can be spent with Phil in his studio.
This is great way to learn about photography & enjoy
a wonderful break in stunning scenery.
Prices include all tuition, accomodation & evening meals -offering

Skye has beautiful and (relatively) undemanding coastal and lochside
walks that offer a superb opportunity to shoot wild flowers, here the pink of the sea thrift contrasts with the deep blue
of a spring day at Ard Roag, North West Skye. Carl Zeiss 25mm for Contax, with polarising filter.
The Cuillin can be dramatic and intimidating in equal measure,
but some of the lower approaches are spectacular and fairly easy going with good views all the way. This shot is with the
tripod legs in one of the Fairy Pools, a playground for any photographer! Carl Zeiss 135mm for Contax.

The more adventurous visitor can take on the Black Cuillin, here a shot
is being lined up amidst the splendid grandeur of upper Corrie Lagan. Phil Gorton runs the Photographic Competition Day for
the Skye Marketing Group website, in this picture the 2007 winner is shooting back over the famous boiler plates.
Sometimes the backgrounds are so visually dramatic they can overpower
the shot itself, care has to be taken around the locations so that the right result is achieved. Many of Skye's locations
offer these photographic challenges, here a Vatten coastal shelf is covered with tiny crustacea, shot with Carl Zeiss 85mm
